Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when you use MP3 to WAV. The short version: your audio files are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us.
1. Your audio files
When you convert a file, it is read from your device, decoded, and re-encoded entirely using your browser's built-in audio APIs. At no point is the file sent over the network to us or to any third party. We have no server-side upload endpoint for audio, and no ability to see, store, or recover the files you convert.
2. Local storage
We use your browser's localStorage to remember one thing: whether you prefer light or dark theme. This value is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.
3. Analytics and tracking
This site does not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy to describe exactly what's collected and why before it goes live.
4. Third-party services
The site loads the Manrope and IBM Plex Mono fonts from Google Fonts. Fetching these fonts causes your browser to make a request to Google's servers, which may log standard technical information such as your IP address, in line with Google's own privacy policy. We don't control or receive that data ourselves.
5. Contact form
Our Contact page opens your own email application with a pre-filled message — the form itself does not transmit any data to our servers. Whatever you choose to send is handled the same way as any other email you send us.
6. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since we don't collect audio, accounts, or personal data from any user, this applies equally to users of all ages.
7. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page occasionally if you want to stay informed.
